About this file
This is a Required Certifications appendix for a State of Florida, Department of Children and Families (DCF) solicitation for elevator maintenance and repair services. The document outlines mandatory certifications and compliance requirements that respondents must fulfill to be eligible for contract award. The solicitation seeks a respondent to provide comprehensive maintenance and repair services for twenty-five (25) vertical transportation systems at Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, Florida. The selected contractor must possess a current State of Florida Elevator Contractor license as mandated by Chapter 399, Florida Statutes, and comply with applicable rules established by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. All services must maintain the elevator systems in safe operating condition in accordance with technical specifications (VDA No. 78906), ASME A17.1 standards, and requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
The appendix specifies the certifications and documentation necessary for respondents to demonstrate their qualifications and legal authority to perform elevator maintenance and repair work in Florida. Respondents must provide evidence of current licensure, insurance, and compliance with state regulatory requirements as prerequisites to contract eligibility. The certification requirements ensure that only qualified, properly licensed contractors capable of meeting federal and state safety standards are considered for award. These mandatory certifications serve as critical compliance mechanisms to protect the State's assets and ensure safe operation of the vertical transportation systems throughout the facility.
