Appendix E - Water Treatment Requirements Summary
This appendix document outlines water treatment requirements applicable to the City of St. Petersburg's HVAC, Preventative Maintenance contract for municipal buildings in Florida. The document establishes specifications and standards for water treatment systems that support HVAC operations within the city's municipal facilities. These requirements address the chemical treatment, monitoring, and maintenance protocols necessary to ensure optimal performance and longevity of cooling towers, boilers, and other water-dependent HVAC components across the city's building portfolio. The specifications establish baseline treatment standards that vendors must implement and maintain throughout the contract performance period.
The water treatment requirements detailed in this appendix serve as essential operational guidelines that successful bidders must comply with when performing HVAC preventative maintenance services. These standards address water quality parameters, treatment chemical specifications, system monitoring protocols, and documentation requirements to prevent scaling, corrosion, and biological contamination in HVAC water systems. Compliance with these treatment requirements is a mandatory component of the overall HVAC maintenance scope of work, ensuring that all water-dependent equipment operates efficiently and maintains the city's asset preservation objectives.
