Project Description: Off road use by ATVs, motorcycles and four-wheel drive vehicles has created a loss of vegetation down to mineral soil. Erosion of that soil and sedimentation run into Albert Creek.

Albert Creek has a resident bull trout population and the sedimentation from this site compromises the stream habitat for those trout.

Three distinct routes leave Rd 5568 (Routes 1, 2, and 3) and converge at a landing. From this landing, two routes cross Albert Creek to a large opening that is used as a camp, party, and shooting area.

Routes 1, 2, and 3 travel through an open, grassy habitat. The distance along the edge of Rd 5568 that is currently open to motorized use. This distance is approximately 70 yards.

Objectives:

o Restore the site to its natural condition and mitigate future unauthorized use.

o The sections of Albert Creek affected by the two stream crossings are to be rehabilitated to restore structure and function.

Government-furnished Supplies/Equipment: Onsite trees/vegetation are available for transplanting.

Grass seed will be furnished by the Government.

Work to be Completed: Offeror is to submit a proposed treatment. The proposal shall include a description of what types of restoration efforts would be done, the type/size/amount of equipment that would be used, staffing, materials, supplies, and a price for the proposed treatment.
