ADDENDUM # 6

Control House for Danebo Substation

RFP #23-161-G

This addendum modifies the RFP and/or bidding document(s) only to the extent indicated herein. All other areas not specifically mentioned or affected by this addendum shall remain in full force. This addendum shall be added as a part of the original RFP document and shall become part of the work required.

QUESTION & ANSWER

1. As our estimating team works to finalize the proposal for RFP No. 23-161-G, the layout below is showing

(6) cells SWGR; however, we figured out that there is a separate remote SWGR cell in DWG. EC-5.1017 (at the same substation). We are assuming that this remote SWGR cell is not in our scope of supply as the bid package has no requirements for this remote cell. Accordingly, all the busbar connections, wiring, C408 fiber optic cables are not part of our scope of supply for the interconnection, as shown in the below drawings. Please confirm.

Response:

Contractor is responsible for providing necessary connection points for the bus tie cubicle (unit D) in the switchgear, as detailed in the spec. EWEB/others will make connections to remote equipment.

2. Circulating back to the below layout drawing, per 3.1.5 the cables entries are specified from “BOTTOM” with minimum clearance from the floor; however, the layout is showing the direction of the cables entries to the “TOP”. Please re-confirm the cables entries for the Main, Feeders & Bus-Tie.

All cables will be fed via underground cables – see spec 3.1.5 for clearance details. This unit will not have any rooftop bushings.

3. A) For the cable termination comp't, since we are meeting the standard bar bus clearances between phases (6”) and phase-to-ground (5”), is it acceptable to not include phase barriers?

B) Also, for the barrier between the cables terminations and the rear doors, is it acceptable to have that barrier installed on the door?

A) Phase barriers are required, even if standard bus clearances are met.

B) This is acceptable.

4. With reference to 5.2.1 for field testing and inspection,

• Please re-confirm whether any field testing is required in the field! If yes, o Is megger test only required in the field? Or which specific tests may be required ?

Megger testing is required in the field as well as at the factory. Additional field tests may be required, but are dependant on vendor/industry best practices and suggestions. These are meant to confirm that the switchgear has not experienced any significant change to condition during transport and delivery.
