About this file

This is Addendum No. 5 to Invitation for Bid 26-011-LK issued by the City of Leesburg, Florida's Procurement Division on March 24, 2026, addressing the Leesburg Gas Department Building Improvement Project at two municipal facilities located at 2110 Griffin Road and 2116 Griffin Road. The addendum clarifies that the Leesburg Gas Utility Department will coordinate with the contractor regarding the removal and reinstallation of an existing gas meter located on an exterior wall section scheduled for demolition during the building renovation. All interested bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their Proposal Bid Form, and the City will treat all submitted bids as acknowledgment of receipt. Bidders who have already submitted their proposal forms must revise their electronic submissions to include this addendum. The addendum also provides responses to Request for Information submissions received by the posted deadline.

This addendum represents a clarification issued two days before the final addendum deadline of March 23, 2026, at 4:30 P.M., well in advance of the bid due date of April 1, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. The clarification eliminates potential contractor liability regarding utility meter relocation by establishing that the Leesburg Gas Utility Department assumes responsibility for coordinating removal and reinstallation activities rather than placing this burden on the general contractor, thereby streamlining project execution and reducing scope ambiguity for qualified bidders.
