About this file
This is an Addendum to Bid #26-007 TSPLOST Milling & Resurfacing Year 5, a municipal infrastructure project involving pavement milling and resurfacing work. The addendum clarifies specifications and requirements for the project, including modifications to materials and project responsibilities. The specific work involves crosswalk installation, with the addendum correcting the material specification from preformed plastic tape to thermoplastic, as the existing crosswalks are located on asphalt surfaces rather than concrete. The project scope requires contractors to manage disposal of milling materials on-site rather than transporting them to the city.
The addendum addresses contractor obligations and insurance requirements for the project. Contractors are responsible for the complete disposal of milling materials generated during resurfacing operations. Railroad insurance is not required for this project; however, contractors must remain outside railroad limits and comply with railroad right-of-way restrictions. These clarifications ensure proper material specification, define waste management responsibilities, and establish safety protocols related to railroad property.

Bid#26-007 TSPLOST Milling & Resurfacing Year 5
Addendum #4
1. The pay item for crosswalks is listed as preformed plastic tape. This material is intended to be installed on concrete surfaces, however; the existing crosswalks appear to be on asphalt. I believe this item is being used in error and should be thermoplastic. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Yes this should have been thermoplastic.
2. Will the contractor be required to haul the millings to the City? No. It will be the contractors responsibility to dispose of the millings.
3. Will Railroad Insurance Be required for this project? Railroad insurance will not be required. The contractor will need to stay out of the railroad limits.
