About this file

This Addendum #1 to Request for Proposal WCSU-2026-RFP-004 amends the original solicitation issued by Western Connecticut State University for Residence Hall Supplemental Cleaning Services. The addendum corrects a specification error in Section 2.02(C)(i)(a) regarding Pinney Hall, changing the reference from "(10) 11 bedroom Suites" to "(10) 1-Bedroom Suites, 1 Bath, 1 Kitchen." The University has incorporated a tentative summer cleaning schedule to assist contractors in planning staffing and resource allocation. The original RFP deadline for proposal submission was May 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM EDT, with a question and answer period that closed on April 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM EDT. The addendum clarifies that cleaning services may be performed Monday through Friday and on weekends between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., with all work coordinated with the University to prevent disruption to campus operations. The University will supply waste dumpsters near the residence halls, with contractors responsible for proper waste disposal. Exterior window cleaning is expressly excluded from the scope of work, with interior window and glass cleaning limited to specifications in the RFP.

The addendum confirms that all other terms and conditions of the original RFP remain unchanged and in full force and effect. No questions were submitted during the open question and answer period. Payment terms are specified as Net 45 Days with Free On Board Destination delivery requirements. The solicitation is open to all vendors without restrictions or set-aside designations. Interested vendors should direct inquiries to Timothy Keith at Western Connecticut State University, 181 White Street, Danbury, Connecticut 06810, by telephone at 203-837-8625, or by email at Keitht@wcsu.edu. The RFP does not identify an estimated total contract value, budget range, or award amount, requiring potential vendors to review the complete RFP documentation for pricing and detailed scope specifications.
