About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for a hospital contract opportunity involving mat, linen, and mop services. The addendum addresses two key questions from potential vendors regarding contract specifications. The hospital requires approximately 60 mats to be changed every two weeks, with the vendor maintaining an equivalent inventory for clean/dirty mat rotation. For linens, the hospital anticipates 104 deliveries/pick-ups per year, with an estimated 4,500 pounds of clean linens per pickup. The vendor must replace all dirty linens with clean inventory to maintain consistent stock levels.
The addendum clarifies that the contract will be awarded as a comprehensive package, with mats, mops, and linens included together and not eligible for separate awards. The quantities listed in Exhibit A represent annual estimated totals, and vendors must be prepared to provide continuous service with maintained inventory levels. No pricing details or specific cost information is provided in this addendum, which appears to be a clarification document during the procurement process to provide additional context and answer vendor questions about service expectations and operational requirements.

ADDENDUM #1
QUESTION #1:
Are the quantities listed on Exhibit A an annual total? (i.e. Mat, Walk Off/On, 3’ x 5’, changed every 2 weeks 125) Would this mean approximately 5 per delivery times 26 deliveries per year?
ANSWER #1:
The quantities listed in Exhibit A are the annual estimated totals; however, on the mats, it is not 5 per week that are changed out. All of the mats in the Hospital are changed out every 2 weeks. The Hospital has an estimated 60 mats that will all need to be changed out every 2 weeks. The vendor will have to maintain the same amount in their inventory in order to have clean ones to swap. For the linens, the Hospital has 2 deliveries/pick-ups per week for a total of 104 per year. The estimated total clean pounds is 4,500 per pickup. The vendor will have to maintain that amount or more in their inventory in order to replace all of the dirty that is taken. The expectation is that all linens that are taken to launder are replaced, so the Hospital has the same inventory at all times.
QUESTION #2:
Can the mats and mops be awarded separate from the linen?
ANSWER #1:
No, the mats and mops can’t be awarded separately. The contract will be inclusive of the mats and mops along with the linens.
