About this file

This document is Addendum No. 04 to the Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), General Services for the re-roofing of Buildings 20, 31, 33, and 46 at the Northeast Florida State Hospital. The addendum provides responses to written inquiries from vendors and includes a new Exhibit N with a roof core report. The original ITB solicits bids for a new 60 mil TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) single-ply roofing membrane to be fully adhered to new tapered polyiso rigid board insulation on the four specified buildings. The responses to the written inquiries clarify work hour restrictions, occupancy of the buildings, and roofing system requirements. The ITB has a response due date of March 9, 2023.

The addendum indicates the work can only be performed during normal business hours of 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with prior approval required for Saturday and Sunday work. The contractor is responsible for relocating or reinstalling any rooftop conduits as required for the roofing work. Minimum R-30 insulation and 1/4" per foot slope are required for the new roof system. As-built information is not available, and the contractor must verify existing conditions. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
