About this file

This is an Access Control Hardware Survey document prepared for Northeastern Junior College (NJC) in Sterling, Colorado by Allegion in collaboration with Heartland OneCard. The survey, completed on June 2, 2016, outlines access control upgrades required at two NJC campuses and serves as a guide for bidders to prepare scope of work and specifications. The project encompasses upgrades to approximately 70+ door openings across multiple campus buildings, including the addition of aptiQ card readers (MT11 and MT15 models), electric strikes, mag locks, Von Duprin 99 QEL electrified exit devices, door contacts, motion sensors, and Heartland Multi Door Controllers. The scope includes converting existing General Electric access control systems to the Heartland system, replacing doors and frames at certain locations, and installing new automatic sliding doors at multiple entries. Equipment specifications detail requirements for migration of existing hardware, compatibility verification, and compliance with local Authority Having Jurisdiction codes.

The awarded contractor bears full responsibility for ensuring all equipment compatibility, proper functionality for each opening, and adherence to applicable codes and regulations. The survey indicates that Access Control Panel locations and wire pathways are not included in this document, requiring further coordination. Several door locations currently on the campus access control system require reader replacement while maintaining existing equipment operability. The document notes that the Welding facility (WRI) lacks data connections and will operate wirelessly using Schlage PIM400-TD2 and WRI-400 equipment positioned at the LS building to communicate with the main access control system. No pricing, award dates, contract terms, or bidding response deadlines are specified in this hardware survey document.
