About this file
This is a Relevant Prior Experience evaluation form for the MACA Rehab Cave Trails construction project solicitation. Offerors and their proposed subcontractors must demonstrate substantive experience performing similar work within the last seven years to be considered responsive. Required experience must include construction of trail systems (pavers, curbs, and structural path improvements) in underground caves, mines, or similarly confined environments open to the public; material transport and staging in restricted-access environments; work in archaeologically sensitive areas without excavation; implementation of confined-space or underground-specific safety plans; and experience in highly visited National Park or equivalent public facilities. Offerors must show prior projects of similar scope and logistical complexity within the $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 construction magnitude range.
The form requires offerors to document specific project details for each relevant experience, including the name of the agency or customer, project location, project value, performance dates, description of project scope, problems encountered and corrective actions taken, and successes achieved. If subcontractors are proposed, offerors must provide the subcontractor name and detailed description of proposed work. The solicitation number is 140P5326R0007 for Mammoth Cave National Park's rehabilitation of cave trail surfaces in Ruins of Karnak, River Hall, and Rafinesque Hall Cave trail, with a 150-day performance period and a 100% small business set-aside. The RFP closes May 15, 2026, at 5:00 PM EDT, with a mandatory pre-proposal site visit scheduled for April 29, 2026, at Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky.
