About this file

This document is an Ordering Data Sheet for a sealed beta reference source. It provides detailed specifications for the required source, including the size, activity level, and calibration requirements. The key details are:

The source is a sealed beta source in the form of a steel disk with a Co-60 active element, an aluminum ring, and an aluminized Mylar window. The source activity is 100 nCi (+/- 10%) and must meet exempt quantity requirements per 10 CFR 30. The source must have NIST-traceable calibration, with activity and uncertainty values reported. Surface contamination levels on the source and packaging must be below 450 pCi/100cm2. The vendor must ship the source to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and make prior contact with the specified point of contact.

This Ordering Data Sheet is related to a pre-solicitation for "NUCLIDE GAMMA CALIBRATION" requirements, posted by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command. The solicitation number is 4152-VL00. The agency is interested in connecting with potential vendors for this requirement.
