About this file

The document provided is an Ordering Data Sheet for a Nine nuclide gamma calibration source in the form of a 500 ml solid epoxy matrix. The key details are:

The source contains a mixture of nine radioactive nuclides - Cd-109, Co-57, Te-123m, Cr-51, Sn 113, Sr-85, Cs-137, Y-88, and Co-60 - with the activity ratios selected to provide similar count rates on typical coaxial high-purity germanium detectors. The total source activity shall be 3.0 microcuries (-15%, +0%) and the reported radioactivity uncertainty of each nuclide shall not exceed 5% at the 99% confidence level. The vendor must ensure the source activity is not greater than the exempt quantity per 10 CFR 30. Surface contamination levels on the source and packing materials must be less than 450 pCi/100cm^2. The source requires a Certificate of Calibration that documents its NIST traceability, nuclide activities, density, volume, and serial number. The source will be shipped by the vendor to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington.

The Ordering Data Sheet is related to a pre-solicitation for "NUCLIDE GAMMA CALIBRATION" posted by the Department of the Navy, Naval Supply Systems Command. Interested parties are requested to provide their company information to receive the solicitation.
