About this file
This document is an Ordering Data Sheet for a nine-nuclide gamma calibration source in the form of a 1000 ml solid epoxy matrix. The source contains a mixture of Cd-109, Co-57, Te-123m, Cr-51, Sn-113, Sr-85, Cs-137, Y-88, and Co-60 with activity ratios selected to provide similar count rates on typical coaxial high-purity germanium detectors. The total source activity shall be 3.0 microcuries (-15%, +0%) and the reported radioactivity uncertainty of each nuclide shall not exceed 5% at the 99% confidence level. The vendor must ensure the source activity is not greater than exempt quantity per 10 CFR 30. The source will be shipped to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF in Bremerton, WA, and the vendor must make voice contact prior to shipping with the specified point of contact.
This Ordering Data Sheet is associated with a pre-solicitation for a "NUCLIDE GAMMA CALIBRATION" requirement from the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command. The solicitation number is 4152-VL00, and interested parties are requested to provide their company name, CAGE code, and contact information to receive the solicitation.
