About this file

These specifications detail a gate replacement project for the Bureau of Land Management's Tonopah Field Office in Nevada. The project requires removing and replacing one vehicle gate and two pedestrian gates with new automated, locking gates. The new gate system must include:

A telescoping sliding cantilever gate system with a 1 HP operator, capable of spanning up to 30-foot openings. Specific requirements include a gate constructed from 6063-T6 aluminum alloy extrusions, separate inner and outer panels with minimum 4-foot overlap, diagonal steel cable bracing, and a track system with keyed interlocking components. The gate operator must have integrated battery backup, a brushless DC motor, and meet UL 325 safety standards. Additional features include photoelectric safety sensors, card reader access control connected to the existing building system, and KNOX access for emergency vehicles. The project requires precise installation specifications, including welding conforming to AWS D1.2 standards, and comes with a three-year warranty for the gate and operator system.
