About this file

This document is a technical specification for a metal building system for a federal construction project. The specification requires supply and installation of a 40' x 70' open-air metal building frame with steel roofing, concrete foundations and slab, electrical power and lighting, plumbing fixtures, and ceiling fans. Structural and material requirements are defined according to industry standards for steel framing, roofing, concrete, paint, and plumbing/electrical components. The related federal contract opportunity is for construction of a visitor center addition at Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge by the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service.
