About this file

This document provides details for the Rendezvous, Proximity Operations and Capture (RPOC) V federal contract opportunity. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Johnson Space Center is soliciting proposals for technical library content and simulation software development support. Offerors are invited to attend an Industry Day meeting on January 24th, 2022 or schedule individual one-on-one meetings between January 25th-28th to learn more about the opportunity requirements. The technical library documents provided cover various space station interface, safety, and program management standards, while the Trick simulation software described is available to offerors on GitHub to facilitate proposal development.

The following system description is applicable under the RPOC Statement of Work:

Trick: The Trick Simulation Environment, developed at NASA JSC, is a powerful simulation development framework that enables users to build applications for all phases of space vehicle development. Trick expedites the creation of simulations for early vehicle design, performance evaluation, flight software development, flight vehicle dynamic load analysis, and virtual/hardware in the loop training. Trick's purpose is to provide a common set of simulation capabilities that allow users to concentrate on their domain specific models, rather than simulation-specific functions like job ordering, input file processing, or data recording.

NASA uses public, open source development repositories such as GitHub to host NASA open source software releases. Trick software is available at GitHub https://github.com/nasa/trick and will soon be available through the portal for NASA open source software at https://code.nasa.gov
