About this file
This is DFCM Addendum #002 issued by the Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) on September 11, 2026, for the Provo Regional Center Building Wide Upgrades project (DFCM Project #23029310, U3P Event #CR27015). The addendum provides clarification and specifications for abatement work on the basement level of the Provo Regional Center located at 150 E Center Street, Provo, Utah. The scope of work includes removal of existing walls, doors, frames, hardware, ceiling tile, ceiling grid, lighting fixtures, and duct insulation within designated areas of the basement. The general contractor must visually inspect all conditions, coordinate with the architect regarding outstanding demolition issues, remove all existing conduit and wiring not in use, salvage light fixtures for reuse, and ensure proper debris removal and site cleanup. Specific demolition notes identify areas marked in red dashed lines for wall and door removal, with annotations distinguishing between full demolition and partial demolition around columns. The contractor is responsible for replacing any base building finishes damaged during demolition and must maintain safe egress from the south portion of the building throughout construction. The addendum specifies that no asbestos or lead-based paint is known to be present; however, if hazardous materials are suspected, work must stop immediately and the materials must be fully abated according to applicable law.
The construction cost estimate for this project is $130,000.00. This is a Stage II Invitation to Bid, and only contractors who have been prequalified under Stage I Prequalification for Contractors and appear on the DFCM Prequalified Contractors list as of the solicitation date are eligible to bid. The addendum does not reference changes to the solicitation schedule and requires bidders to acknowledge receipt of the addendum with their bid submission, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification.
