About this file
This is a pricing schedule document for a Request for Proposal issued by Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement on behalf of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office Health Services for the procurement of electrolyte replacement powder products. The solicitation seeks bidders to provide electrolyte-replacement drink powders comparable to industry-standard formulations such as Gatorade or PowerAde, with requirements for both regular and sugar-free options. All powdered drink mixes must be packaged in individual, pre-measured packets designed to yield exactly 5 gallons of finished product when mixed with water, require no measuring by staff, and must not cause temporary discoloration of mouth, lips, urine, or feces. Bidders are required to submit product samples prior to the bid closing date, and complete nutrition label information must be provided for each proposed product as part of the bid submission.
The pricing schedule establishes the cost structure for evaluation and award purposes. Bidders must submit pricing for their proposed electrolyte replacement powder products on the pricing schedule form. The County strongly discourages the use of dyes or artificial colorants in the formulations. Products must match the flavor indicated on packaging and not have an unpleasant or unacceptable taste. A minimum of two sugar-free flavor options must be included in bid submissions. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder(s) whose bid best meets the specifications and pricing criteria outlined in the solicitation documents.
