About this file
This document is an Items List from the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) for Maintenance, Repair, and Installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Fiber-Optic infrastructure across Regions 1, 2, 3, and 4. The comprehensive line-item document details 999 specific service items related to traffic control, conduit installation, communication cabling, splicing, testing, labor, removal and restoration, environmental controls, and ITS equipment installation. The contract period is set to end on 03/31/2028 with no renewal options, and UDOT anticipates multiple contract awards to contractors who can provide line-item based construction services for fiber optic and Advanced Transportation Management Systems (ATMS) projects.
The pricing structure is based on unit pricing for each specific line item, with contractors required to indicate their pricing for performing work on a per-unit basis. Contractors must adhere to UDOT's standard specifications and drawings, and payment is contingent upon acceptance by the department. The solicitation allows for flexibility, with the state retaining the right to reopen the solicitation and add additional contractors at any time. The contract is designed for fast-turnaround, straightforward construction services, with an emphasis on precise documentation, specific technical requirements, and comprehensive service offerings ranging from traffic control to environmental management and infrastructure installation.
