About this file
This document is a Scope of Work for maintenance, repair, and installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and fiber optic infrastructure for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). The contract will cover work across four Utah regions, primarily in counties including Davis, Weber, Salt Lake, Utah, and Washington, with the option for work in additional counties. UDOT seeks to establish multiple five-year requirements-type contracts with qualified vendors to provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for ITS and fiber optic infrastructure. The contract will be executed on an as-needed, on-call basis, with projects awarded based on contractor availability and departmental needs. The contract period ends on September 30, 2025, with work potentially involving installation, relocation, repairs, troubleshooting, testing, and integration of infrastructure.
Pricing for the contract requires vendors to guarantee rates for six months, with potential price adjustments thereafter requiring 30 days' advance notice and supporting documentation. Invoicing will be based on actual quantities placed, with no adjustment to unit prices for quantity changes. The contract includes specific provisions for emergency work, traffic control, safety regulations, and right-of-way access. Contractors must comply with UDOT policies, Blue Stakes protocols, and follow environmental and archaeological discovery procedures. The solicitation encourages all contractors to bid, with bidding on all regions not being mandatory, and UDOT retains the right to contact awarded contractors for per-job pricing and project scopes.
