About this file
The document is a Lightning Protection Inspection Report for the Taos Picuris Indian Health Center (TPPIHC) prepared by BLP, LLC on December 6, 2018. The inspection identified multiple required modifications to the facility's lightning protection system, including installing new systems on two stack units, reshaping cables at 30 locations to meet an 8" radius standard, bonding 11 vents and 18 roof drains, adding four down conductors, and addressing surge protection deficiencies. Specific recommendations include installing a new ground at the main electrical entrance, adding a 277/480-volt surge protector with surge counter, and ensuring proper grounding in the server room and cable trays.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation (75H70125R00037) for a roof replacement and fall protection project at the same health center. The project is a 100% Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) set-aside under NAICS code 238160, with an anticipated project magnitude between $1-5 million. The Indian Health Service intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract with a 180-calendar day performance period. The solicitation will be procured as a Request for Proposal using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation criteria, with all documents to be posted online for download by interested parties.
