This document provides United States Coast Guard (USCG) responses for questions that have been asked regarding solicitation 70Z03820QE0000007. Question numbers are provided simply as a reference and in no way infer a prioritization of the questions.

Number Question USCG Response 1 Section 1.2 (Scope) “ The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, tooling, test equipment and facilities necessary to perform calibration and repairs of tools and equipment listed in the calibration and repair items attachment.”

Is there an outline for what is deemed as parts (i.e. consumable parts)?

There is no outline for what is deemed parts.

The vendor shall have the capability to provide the parts necessary for repair and is not expected to house all repair replacement parts.

The vendor shall provide a repair estimate upon request of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and include the estimated costs of any parts needed for the tool or equipment.

2 Section 1.2 (Scope) “ The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, tooling, test equipment and facilities necessary to perform calibration and repairs of tools and equipment listed in the calibration and repair items attachment.”

Is there a dollar amount for said parts i.e. up to what value is no charge?

There is no dollar value assigned for repairs that are “no charge” to the Government.

Repairs that are deemed “incidental” will be at no cost to the Government.

The monthly fixed rate for the estimated annual 3,840 pieces are for calibration services only. In the event that repairs are needed other than incidental repairs, a repair estimate will be provided by the vendor and a task order will be issued to fund the repair.

3 Section 5.3 (Repairs)

If an item has been rejected and deemed beyond economical repair, will the item remain with (or have the option to remain with) the contractor for potential disassembly to repair other rejected items?

No-The item shall be returned.

4 Section 52.212-1 under Quotation Preparation and Submission:

Standard Form 1449, 52.212 was not attached to the solicitation. Should we fill out the offeror sections on this form and leave the issuer section blank for USCG to fill at a later date or will we be provided the form with the issuer section already filled?

No-Respond as indicated on the solicitation.
