About this file

This is a References document for solicitation SHE130291-1 issued by Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement on behalf of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office for Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) services. Bidders are required to submit at least two commercial references from companies that regularly utilize the bidder for services similar in scope to those described in the solicitation. The references must include company name, contact person's name, phone number, email address, the number of years the reference has used the bidder's services, and the frequency of service (monthly, quarterly, or as needed). An optional third reference may be provided. The County reserves the right to verify the quality and reliability of the bidder's past performance through these references.

Additionally, the County reserves the right to consider past interactions, whether positive or negative, with the bidder in the reference evaluation process if the County has previously contracted with the bidder. This references requirement is part of the broader solicitation for qualified companies or individuals to provide investigative genetic genealogy services to assist in resolving unsolved homicides, violent crimes, unsolved missing persons cases, and unidentified human remains cases. The contractor must demonstrate experience with genealogy related to diverse populations, misattributed parentage, adoptions, and multiple ethnicities.
