About this file
This document is a contract agreement between the City of St. George, Utah and an unnamed contractor for an unspecified construction project. The agreement outlines the contractor's responsibilities to commence and complete work according to the contract documents, with specific obligations including filing a notice of commencement with the Utah State Construction Registry within 15 days of starting physical construction. The contract includes numerous supporting documents such as proposal forms, bonds, specifications, and construction plans, with the work to be performed in accordance with the City of St. George Standard Specifications for Design and Construction and technical specifications prepared by a consultant.
The contract requires the contractor to furnish all materials, supplies, tools, equipment, labor, and services necessary for project completion. While the total contract value is not specified in the visible sections, the document includes payment and performance bonds, indicating financial protections for the city. The contractor must provide a payment bond to ensure prompt payment to subcontractors and suppliers, and a performance bond guaranteeing faithful completion of all contract terms, including a one-year guaranty period. The bonds include provisions protecting the city from potential defaults, with the surety waiving notice of any contract changes or extensions.
