About this file

This is a pricing schedule (Part B) for a Request for Proposal issued by Salt Lake County Public Works Operations in Utah for trucking and delivery services related to asphalt concrete mix supplies. The document outlines six line items for transportation services of asphalt materials from the contractor's plant to County-designated project sites within Salt Lake County. Services include standard order deliveries (200-400 tons with 48-hour advance notice), large order/priority deliveries (400+ tons with 24-hour advance notice), dedicated truck services available on either a full-day basis (minimum 8 hours with 48-hour notice) or hourly basis (no minimum or advance notice required), weekend/holiday delivery premiums, and after-hours delivery premiums (outside 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM). Estimated quantities total 5,000 tons for standard deliveries, 5,000 tons for large order deliveries, 50 days for dedicated full-day truck services, and 100 hours for dedicated hourly truck services, with 500 tons estimated for both weekend/holiday and after-hours premium surcharges.

All pricing is quoted on a per-unit basis (per US ton delivered, per day, or per hour) and represents costs in addition to the FOB Plant material price established in Part A of the proposal. Bidders may elect to bid Part B services in addition to Part A material supply, or independently. The notice requirements specified in Section 8.0 must be observed for all deliveries. The County explicitly reserves discretion to order trucking services based on operational needs and cost analysis, and the estimated quantities in Part B do not constitute a purchase guarantee. Transportation services must include truck, driver, and dispatch coordination for all road classes and asphalt mix types referenced in Part A.
