About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for the Preventive Maintenance and Repair Services for Deionized Water System project administered by Broward County's Water & Wastewater Operations Division in Florida. The project encompasses preventive maintenance and repair services for Type II Deionized Water Systems located at the North Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant in Pompano Beach, Florida and the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department in Davie, Florida. The service agreement includes labor, travel, and consumables necessary to maintain these systems. No specific response dates, due dates, site visits, bidders' meetings, award dates, or contract term information is provided in this insurance requirements document.

Contractors must maintain comprehensive general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, including broad form coverage for premises-operations, explosion/collapse/underground, products/completed operations, contractual liability, and independent contractors. Auto liability coverage of $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage is required unless waived if no driving is involved. Workers' compensation coverage at statutory limits and employers' liability of $500,000 per accident are mandatory. Broward County must be named as an additional insured, with the contractor's insurance providing primary coverage and a waiver of subrogation in the County's favor. The contractor bears all deductible responsibilities, with a maximum of $100,000 for professional liability and $10,000 for installation floaters. Thirty days' written notice of cancellation is required, or ten days' notice for non-payment, and for claims-made policies, coverage must be maintained for three years after contract completion.
