About this file
This is a traffic control and operations attachment document for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Region 2 Pioneer Trail Improvements project (Solicitation #UDOT270027CN), a curb extensions improvement project in Salt Lake City. The project involves removing and installing concrete curb and gutter, pedestrian ramps, and sidewalk along Pioneer Trail. The contract must be completed by November 20th, 2026. A mandatory virtual prebid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4th, 2026, at 10:00 AM Mountain Time via Google Meet, with attendance required for bid eligibility and site visit participation. The awarded contractor must submit a performance and payment bond upon contract award.
The traffic control and operational limitations document establishes specific requirements for contractor performance on the project site. Nighttime construction is prohibited, and contractors must obtain all necessary permits and coordinate road closures with Jacobsen Construction and Salt Lake City Transportation. Lane closures at the intersections of State Street and Hillside Drive, and State Street and 200 North are permitted for up to one month, with mandatory maintenance of eastbound 200 North access and driveway access during closures. Contractors must notify the Third Party Public Information Manager (Tess Fox), the project Engineer, and emergency services at least seven calendar days in advance of work activities. All utility work requires Blue Stakes location verification (1-800-662-4111 or 811), and contractors bear full responsibility and cost for any damage to existing utilities, roadway pavement, or private property during construction.
