About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the SAV TOWB Parking Lot Replacement project (Solicitation 6973GH-24-R-00212), issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Q&A covers multiple Request for Information (RFI) dates from 10/14/2025 to 11/13/2025, addressing technical details about a facility renovation project involving parking lot repairs, lift replacement, and associated infrastructure work. Key points include: the project is tax-exempt, requires three project phases, involves replacing a material handling lift (to be disposed of by the contractor), potentially replacing bollards, and includes asphalt repair with multiple "bad spots" at varying depths. The document emphasizes that potential bidders should conduct an on-site walkthrough to accurately assess project specifics, as no comprehensive drawings are available.

Specific technical details include a lift pit with dimensions of 39½" wide, 80" long, and 10" deep, an 8-yard dumpster with a gate measuring 19'11" wide, and bollards that are 48" deep below grade. The contractor will need to coordinate concrete modifications with the new lift manufacturer's instructions, potentially grinding or saw-cutting the concrete pit lip to ensure a flush installation. The project requires following industry standards for crack repair and sealing, and existing power supply conduits can be utilized for the new lift.
