About this file

This document is Amendment 0001 for the Natchez Trace Parkway project (Solicitation 693C73-25-B-000007), issued by the Federal Highway Administration's Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division. The amendment provides responses to 14 bidder questions covering technical and procedural aspects of the project, including temporary pavement markings, traffic control, site visits, staging areas, roadway access, and seeding requirements. Key clarifications include that temporary pavement markings will be paid under the Temporary Traffic Control line item, the Superintendent can serve as Site Safety and Health Officer but not Quality Control Manager, and contractors must maintain one lane of traffic during work periods and two lanes during non-work periods.

The solicitation is for a small business set-aside project involving resurfacing approximately 9.5 miles of the Natchez Trace Parkway in Tennessee, with an estimated project cost between $2-5 million. The bid opening date remains unchanged at Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Contractors are advised to inspect the site, make their own assessments of existing conditions, and prepare their bids accordingly. The project includes pavement patching, overlay, aggregate-topsoil course, signing, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous work.
