The following questions and issues were asked at the Pre-Bid Meeting submitted via email. The Government response or clarification is provided. Due to the repetitive nature of several questions and issues, the wording of the questions may have been revised and some questions have not been included. The Government’s direct response to the sender may also have been updated below for better clarity.
1. Regarding pay item “CONSTRUCTION SURVEY AND STAKING” on both schedules A &
B.
Our interpretation of the scope of work defined in specification 150 (pages J-73 to J-80), is that the specification was written with a mindset of a typical road and bridge construction project that requires a lots of soil movement with heavy concrete civil works. This project is intended to repair sign & guardrail damaged by hurricane Maria. We would like you to clarify what is your expectations of the surveying works for a guardrail and signs repair project.
Response: This item includes any and all surveying necessary required for the location and installation of guardrail, guardrail end sections, proprietary terminals, bridge transitions upgrades, thrie beam transitions, as well as that necessary to located and install traffic signs as required in Specification 606 and 613.
