About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal forest service contract opportunity (Project No. WA ERFO FS MTBKR605 2022-1(3)) regarding the Mt. Baker - Forest Road 11 MP 23.9 Repair project. The document contains three technical questions answered on March 6, 2026.

The key clarifications address stockpile area usage and project timeline. Government-furnished stockpile areas identified on sheet A.3 are designated solely for retrieval of rootwads and log deflectors by the contractor. Contractors are explicitly prohibited from disposing of unsuitable materials, excess materials, staging materials, or equipment at these Government-furnished stockpile areas. Stockpile area #2 at MP 21.5 serves as an additional resource only if rootwads and log deflectors from stockpile area #1 are exhausted, and the same disposal restrictions apply. The contracted work timeline is referenced in SF1442, Block 11, page A-5, which contractors must consult for schedule requirements.
