About this file

This document outlines requirements for a federal construction contract. The solicitation is for the OR DOT CRGNSA 100(4) project to construct the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail at Mitchell Point Crossing. Work includes excavating a tunnel according to Section 205 specifications as well as talus and loose rock in adjacent areas. Within the trail limits, the contractor must excavate talus and loose rock to the pavement depth indicated in the plans or overexcavate four inches if loose rock or talus remains, grouting voids and backfilling with compacted aggregate. Earth cuts require scarifying six inches below subgrade and compacting according to Subsection 204.11. The solicitation was issued by the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration.
