At the preconstruction conference, submit a cost breakdown of the work included in the lump sum item for the purpose of making progress payments.
(a) Government set reference lines and points. The Government has set horizontal and vertical control points for the project. The location and identity of each control point are shown on the plans.
Before beginning construction, notify the CO of any missing control points or stakes. The Government will reestablish control points and stakes missing before the beginning of construction.
(b) Government furnished information. The Government will furnish the design data described below for mainline, Grand Loop Road:
(1) Proposed horizontal alignment(s) and profile grade(s) reports in Portable Document Format (.pdf);
(2) Cross Sections in Portable Document Format (.pdf);
(3) Earthwork end area volume report in Portable Document Format (.pdf);
(4) Superelevation report in Portable Document Format (.pdf);
(5) Clearing limits (based on theoretical catch points) in Portable Document Format (.pdf);
(6) Construction staking notes containing subgrade points at centerline and shoulders, and theoretical slope stake catch points, in Comma Separated Values (.csv) and Portable Document Format (.pdf); and,
(7) X, Y, Z coordinates of subgrade and base layer(s) points at centerline and shoulders, in Comma Separated Values (.csv) and Portable Document Format (.pdf).
Perform additional conversions and calculations as necessary for convenient use of Government-furnished data. The Contractor is responsible for the accuracy of all information converted from the Government-furnished data. Provide immediate notification of apparent errors in the furnished data.
The government will also provide cross-sections in Portable Document Format (.pdf) for Tower Falls, Buffalo Paddock Picnic Area, and the Chittenden Road Parking at the preconstruction conference.
(c) Pre-survey meeting. Before surveying or staking, discuss and coordinate the following with the CO:
(1) Surveying and staking methods;
(2) Stake marking;
(3) Grade control for courses of material;
(4) Referencing;

Section 308. — RECYCLED AGGREGATE BASE
03/31/16– FP-14
Delete this Section and substitute the following:
Description
308.01 This work consists of constructing a course of aggregate base using recycled aggregate from the existing pavement structure and added crushed aggregate.
Material
308.02 Material shall conform to the following Subsections:
Crushed aggregate 703.06 Water 725.01(c)
Construction Requirements
308.03 General. Establish profile and cross slope control according to Section 152.
308.04 Rotomilling. Remove the top 4 inches (100 millimeters) of the existing asphalt concrete pavement at the location shown on the plans by rotomilling. Use milling machines that are:
(a) Self-propelled;
(b) Equipped with standard automatic depth controls adjustable in increments of ½ inch (13 millimeters); and
(c) Capable of maintaining a constant cutting depth in pavement structure, new aggregate, or a combination thereof.
Reduce oversize particles to a maximum size of 1½ inch (37.5 millimeters).
Pulverize the remaining pavement structure to a depth of 4 inches (100 millimeters). Use the reclaimer to pulverize the existing roadway material, in-place until 100 percent passes the 2-inch (50-millimeter) sieve.
F-74 DIVISION 600
Project: WY NPS YELL 10(22), Canyon to Tower Phase 3 sweep off excess sand. Re-sand joints if sand is more than 1/4-inch (6-millimeter) below surface of paver.
615.06A Stone (Mortared Cobble) Median. (Added Subsection).
Construct a concrete bed for the cobble median. While the concrete is wet, lay cobbles 1 to 2 inches (25 to 50 millimeters) apart with flat faces up and their longest dimension parallel to centerline of the roadway. Do not place stones or concrete in freezing weather. Obtain approval from the CO before applying mortar.
Apply mortar to fill the interstices between the cobbles. Do not allow the mortar to protrude above the cobbles. Remove excess mortar immediately. Stained cobble faces will be rejected. Protect work from sun and keep wet for a minimum of three days.
615.07 Acceptance. Add the following:
Mortar will be evaluated under Subsection 106.02.
Cobbles will be evaluated under Subsection 106.02.
Crushed aggregate will be evacuated under Section 302.
Measurement
615.08 Add the following:
Do not measure geotextile fabric; roadway aggregate, method 2; and underdrain piping (perforated and outlet) for payment.
