About this file

This document contains answers to technical questions regarding a federal solicitation to repair two bridges and replace a culvert on Denali Park Road in Alaska. The work includes minor bridge repairs with painting bridge rails, replacing a concrete box culvert, and conducting rockfall mitigation such as scaling, installing dowels and bolts, and other minor tasks. A July 1 notice to proceed date is specified with a performance period of just over two months. No coating is required for new sheet or king piles to be installed. While a limited earlier notice to proceed to begin procuring fabricated steel and concrete items was requested, the response indicates bidders should not assume one will be granted and should bid accordingly.

The related federal contract opportunity is for the above stated scope of work on Denali Park Road between mileposts 52 and 52.9 in Alaska's Denali Borough under Solicitation 69056718B000028 from the National Park Service within the Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration. The estimated price range for the project is $2-3 million.
