About this file

This document is a Resident Veteran's Preference Certification (Affidavit) for procurement in New Mexico, specifically designed for businesses seeking a preference in state contracting. The form allows a qualifying New Mexico Resident Veteran's Business to declare eligibility for a 10% preference discount by certifying that their prior year revenue is $3M or less. Businesses are limited to benefiting from this preference for no more than ten consecutive years, and an owner cannot benefit from the preference through more than one business concurrently.

The certification requires the business to agree to submit annual reports to the State Purchasing Division of the General Services Department, declaring under penalty of perjury the details of contracts awarded based on the veteran's preference. The document emphasizes that providing false or misleading information constitutes a crime, and the representations made can be subject to protest, potentially resulting in denial or withdrawal of a procurement award. The form must be signed by an authorized business representative, who attests to the truthfulness of the submitted information.
