About this file

This is a Bid Bond Form for Marion County Board of County Commissioners in Florida, specifically related to project 26B-025 for the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion Grandstand Repair. The form serves as a bid security mechanism, requiring contractors to submit either a bid bond or cashier's check as part of their proposal submission. The project involves repairs to the metal grandstands in the front arena at Southeastern Livestock Pavilion, located at 2232 NW Jacksonville Road, Ocala, FL 34470, under the management of the Marion County Parks & Recreation Department. The bid bond form establishes the contractor as Principal and requires a surety company to guarantee that the Principal will enter into a contract with Marion County if the bid is accepted and will provide performance and payment bonds as specified in the contract documents.

The bid bond amount will be held by Procurement Services in the form of either a surety bond or cashier's check until a contract is executed with the selected firm and approved by Marion County. The top three ranked firms' payments remain in custody during the award process. Contractors are responsible for retrieving their bid checks or providing a courier number for delivery via FedEx or UPS. Firms may request return of bid bonds through standard USPS mail by submitting a written request via email or fax, though Marion County assumes no liability for lost or misdirected mail sent through postal services. The form requires execution by both the Principal contractor and Surety, with witness signatures, and must be completed with specific project details, dollar amounts, and dates prior to submission.
