The document is a comprehensive Project Manual for the City of Tallahassee's renovation of the building located at 507 W Brevard Street, prepared by Architect Lewis + Whitlock with project number 21423.6. The project involves a renovation of an approximately 3,000 square foot historical building, which includes replacing the roof, exterior windows and doors, installing a new infill storefront, and completing partial interior renovations to accommodate a new use as the Frenchtown Cultural Center and Museum. The project manual contains detailed specifications across multiple divisions, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural requirements, with specific technical sections covering everything from demolition and masonry to painting and finishes.

The project is structured as a competitive bid process, with the City of Tallahassee seeking qualified contractors to complete the renovation. The manual includes comprehensive technical specifications, material requirements, execution standards, and performance criteria. Key technical details include provisions for thermal and moisture protection, interior and exterior finishes, door and window installations, and specific requirements for materials and workmanship. The project includes several alternates, such as an option to replace the existing wood plank ceiling with new pine tongue and groove planks, and specific allowances for brick repointing and repair. The manual also contains requirements for substitution procedures, quality assurance, product submittals, and detailed execution guidelines to ensure the renovation meets the City's standards for historical preservation and functional adaptation.
