About this file

This is an equipment specification exhibit for a janitorial services contract with the City of Dallas, Texas, establishing a sixty-month Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) service price agreement. The document details the major and minor equipment required to perform janitorial services across multiple service groups, with specifications for 43 different equipment categories ranging from brooms and brushes to commercial cleaning machines. Minimum quantities required on-site at contract commencement include 15 warehouse upright brooms, 15 corn straw warehouse brooms, 15 street brooms, 30 toy brooms, various cleaning brushes and handles, 20 utility carts, 60 lobby-style dust pans, 5 buffer machines (15" and 20-22" models), commercial carpet dryers, shampoo machines for different applications, and multiple vacuum cleaners including commercial upright, wet/dry, backpack, and hand-held units. All equipment must be new, unused, manufacturer-certified with operations and parts manuals, maintained in clean working order, equipped with appropriate safety guards, and meet or exceed federal, state, and local safety standards. Equipment is subject to City Representative inspection and approval prior to use, with non-compliant or inadequate equipment to be replaced immediately at the contractor's expense.

The equipment list establishes specific on-hand inventory requirements across five annual periods of the contract term. Several equipment categories are designated with zero minimum quantities on-hand, including the 32-gallon recycling barrel container with tandem dolly and the 36-inch wide path carpet vacuum. The contractor bears full responsibility for determining the total equipment necessary to perform services beyond the specified minimums as required to service the awarded groups. All specifications must be completed by the submitting contractor; failure to complete all blanks renders the bid invalid.
