About this file
This document is a presentation transcript from the GSA 2026 Fall Open Season Conference for the Main Bus Program, held on July 22, 2026, covering the open season bidding process, technical specifications, and GSAFleet.gov system procedures.
The Main Bus Program (Contract 47QMCA24R0006) operates on a bi-annual open season cycle governed by FY27 Federal Standards. The bid period opens August 3, 2026 and closes August 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET, with awards anticipated in October 2026. Incumbent vendors may update pricing for new model years and optional equipment but cannot change prices on previously awarded models unless the model is phasing to a new year or experiencing major changes like engine manufacturer updates. New offerors must submit complete proposals following Sections F and G of the solicitation posted on SAM.gov and must contact the contracting team to schedule an intake meeting before submission. New models require prior engineering approval and must be configured in GSAFleet.gov. All pricing and technical exceptions are entered through GSAFleet.gov under the Solicitations section. Transit Bus contracts sunset December 2026, and incumbent transit vendors may transition to the Main Bus program. The GSA Office of Fleet Management (FDD) manages the program through the Fleet Supplier Service Center, with contracting officers Zachary Shepherd and Brittney Woods serving as primary points of contact. Additional resources include the Open Season GSAFleet.gov Bid Management Quick Reference Guide for Suppliers and system help documentation available on GSAFleet.gov.
