Key Card Access Control System
GENERAL: Amendment No.3 is issued for the following:
1. Project Clarification
Additional Q&A Additional questions and responses are as follows:
1. The Salto server being DMZ’d or similar was discussed. If this is enacted, what machine will be used to run the Salto client software for issuing badges etc.? Will vendor provide said machine?
BSA Response: The server will not be DMZ'd (directly internet accessible). Internal campus firewalls will be configured to allow communication between the server and client desktops. BSA will provide the desktop machine(s) for the Salto client software, these will be BSA's standard Windows configuration.
2. Depending on the answer to #1, will a network run be required between the IDF and the client desktop?
BSA Response: No, the ideal location for the server is the 515 data center, no new runs are required by the vendor.
3. There is a Salto encoder that will need to be included. They have network or USB hardware option. This will need to be specified, after deciding on above.
BSA Response: USB
