About this file
This is an E-Verify Requirement Form issued by the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, establishing compliance mandates for contractors and subcontractors participating in town contracts. The form requires all proposers to be registered with the E-Verify System (E-Verify.gov) and to electronically verify the employment eligibility of all newly hired workers beginning January 1, 2021. Proposers must also verify that all workers and subcontractors performing contract duties are registered with E-Verify and comply with the same verification requirements. Additionally, proposers must obtain affidavits from each subcontractor affirming that the subcontractor does not employ, contract with, or subcontract with unauthorized aliens as defined under Florida Statutes Section 448.095(1)(k). Proposers must maintain copies of subcontractor affidavits for the duration of the subcontract and any extensions thereof.
The Town of Palm Beach reserves the right to terminate any contract if it has good faith belief that a contractor or subcontractor has knowingly violated Florida Statutes Section 448.09(1). In the event of contract termination due to E-Verify violations, the contractor shall be barred from receiving future Town contracts for one year from the termination date and shall be liable for any additional costs incurred by the Town as a result of the termination. The form requires the contractor to provide company name, contact information, address, phone number, fax number, Federal ID number, and authorized signature.
