About this file
This document appears to be a set of technical drawings for the repair of the Sayles Canyon Trail Bridge in the Eldorado National Forest in California. The drawings provide details on the decking and running planks, including the materials, dimensions, and hardware requirements. The key details include:
The bridge will be repaired by removing the existing temporary timber decking and replacing it with new 2x8 and 2x12 Douglas Fir deck planks, as well as new 2x12 run planks. The drawings specify the use of galvanized wood screws, bolts, and other hardware for installation. The existing prefabricated weathering steel truss bridge structure will be retained, with the contractor required to heat straighten and realign the HSS stringers and center nailer. The project is subject to AASHTO LRFD design specifications, with specific load requirements outlined. The contractor must submit shop drawings for all replaced timber and steel components. This technical drawing package is included as part of Solicitation No. 12970224R0034 issued by the USDA Forest Service for the Sayles Canyon Trail Bridge Repairs project, with a contract value range of $25,000 to $100,000 and a period of performance from 08/15/2024 to 11/15/2025.
