About this file
This document is an Amendment (0001) to Solicitation 36C77625Q0137 for the Brainerd Multi-Specialty Clinic, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Program Contracting Activity Central. The amendment includes a series of vendor questions and government responses regarding the project, which involves constructing a new 41,000 square foot clinic that will expand the existing facility's footprint by 15,000 square feet. Key details include clarifications on design requirements, such as utilizing BIM (Building Information Modeling) for 3D mockups, Revit model provisions, warehousing specifications within 5 miles of the clinic site, and activation services.
The amendment addresses multiple technical aspects of the project, including design submittal timelines, change management processes, equipment warehousing, and logistics. Significant points include: no physical mockups are required, VA Logistics will handle barcode inventory and asset management, the IOTA contractor must develop a storage and re-use plan for equipment, and a certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) must be onsite during installation. The project involves creating a new build-to-suit lease replacement facility for the St. Cloud Veterans Healthcare System in Brainerd, Minnesota, with a focus on improving veterans' access to comprehensive medical services.
