About this file
This document is a Technical Questions and Responses Tracking Sheet for Solicitation #36C77625B0046, a competitive Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside project for constructing a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Renovation/Addition at the Hampton VA Medical Center in Hampton, VA. The project is valued between $10-20 million under the VA's Minor Construction Program, with a maximum statutory cost limit of $30 million, and falls under NAICS code 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction.
The tracking sheet contains 38 detailed technical questions and responses covering critical project aspects, including staffing requirements (prohibiting dual roles for superintendent, safety, and quality control positions), site-specific details about existing systems (currently maintained by Johnson Controls, VAOIT, and Convergint), work conditions (off-hours shutdowns, fire watches, guard escorts), and site challenges such as potential asbestos in crawl spaces and rock removal. Key technical clarifications include submission time being 8:00 AM EST, hydrostatic testing protocols, fire extinguisher cabinet specifications, and confirmation that VA's Interior design will assist with furniture relocation during construction.
