About this file

This technical specification covers the installation of a sliding gate operator at the Tucson Clinical Resource and Management Center Parking Lot. The specification requires a LiftMaster HDSL24UL slide gate operator or approved equivalent. Key components include a gear-driven motor rated for continuous duty, 24VDC battery backup, monitored photo eyes for safety, and a wireless commercial keypad for after-hours access control. The operator must meet relevant UL standards and be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions, including the recommended concrete pad and reinforcing. The contractor must test and adjust the installed operator and demonstrate its programming and operation to the Department of Veterans Affairs project representative upon completion.
