About this file
This document is a specification for historic replacement aluminum clad wood windows for a construction project at the Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The specification covers requirements for wood window frames made of pine, mahogany, or Douglas fir with aluminum cladding on the exterior. It includes details for glazing, simulated divided lites, finishes, installation accessories, and testing standards. Window units must be designed to withstand wind zone 4 pressures and missile level D impact. The related federal contract opportunity is seeking a general contractor to renovate space in Building 24 at the Jefferson Barracks VAMC for EHRM training and administrative support. The scope of work includes demolition, site preparation, and furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to complete the construction project.
