3. 3-8-22 ALUMINUM VS. STAINLESS STEEL BUILDING
NUMBER SIGNS: In the Plans for this project, Building Number signs are mounted on both the East Elevation (3/A-201) and North Elevation (4/A-201) and are described by Note 14 as follows:
18” TALL, 2” DEEP ANODIZED ALUMINUM
BUILDING NUMBER. ATTACH VIA 2” ALUMINUM
STANDOFFS. CENTER IN EIFS PANEL.
COORDINATE FONT STYLE, COLOR, AND FINISH
FOR CONFORMANCE WITH VA CAMPUS STYLE.
COORDINATE WITH COR.
However, the only relevant Specification Section provided is Section 10 14 19 “FABRICATED
STAINLESS STEEL DIMENSIONAL GRAPHICS”
which classifies these letters as stainless steel.
Please verify the intended exterior dimensional metal letter material as aluminum or stainless steel, and if the letters are not to be stainless steel, please provide a detailed revised specification.
Building number signs are to be anodized aluminum. Reference Addendum 2 – Section 10 14 19.
4. 3-8-22 4-5-22 Are interior signs such as room identification signs, restroom signs, exit signs, etc. addressed in a separate scope of work?
VA Engineering and Interior Design to provide in-house.
5. 3-16-22 The Spec for Div 09.05.16 states that this Underlayment is going to be provided under Resinous Floorings, but in the Finish Schedule I am not finding any floorings Keyed for Resinous Floors... The only Key I think would be for this Scope would be the Sealed Concrete, but I just want to confirm with you that this is correct, and this Project does not actually have any schedules for Epoxy Floors.
09 05 16 specifies underlayments for all applied flooring and resinous flooring. There are several applied flooring types specified but there are no resinous/epoxy flooring systems specified.
6. 3-16-22 4-5-22 Please provide an irrigation plan. There is none.

7. 3-16-22 4-11-22 KeyNote #4 on Sheet A-103 states “Access Gate, Details on this Sheet” but there are no such details on this sheet.

Top and bottom 4x4 tube steeled rails to run continuous access gate to occur between two rails detail for gate to be provided by screen vendor.
8. 3-23-22 4-11-22 Can you please clarify the striping scope / design? The striping shown on SP-1 does not include any site details
– in addition, it appears that the dimensions are incorrect, no legal access to sidewalk is shown, no van accessible spaces are shown, no truncated domes, incorrect slopes, etc. Just want to clarify the scope so correct pricing can be obtained.
The sidewalk connects to the site to the south.
Truncated domes should be assumed and prices along the edge of the 0” CF facing the parking;
however, there is a deduct option that may remove these. We aren’t seeing slope concerns but if specific instances are provided we can review. Striping will be revisited but this not a cost item (appreciate the comment)
