About this file

This document is a comprehensive set of construction specifications for a VA Medical Center project to correct mental health deficiencies in Building 520 at the Palo Alto Health Care System. The project involves extensive renovations focusing on creating a more ligature-resistant and patient-safe environment, including replacing door hardware, flooring, wall finishes, electrical systems, and other architectural elements across multiple patient care areas.

Key project details include a contract value estimated between $2-5 million, with a target solicitation release in mid-late May 2025. The project will be a full and open competition under NAICS code 236220 with a small business size standard of $45M. Potential bidders must be registered in SAM, have an Online Representations and Certification Application, and be verified as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) through Network Contracting Office 21. A site visit date is to be determined, and questions should be directed to the Contract Specialist Christopher Aguon and Contracting Officer Corey Kline.
