The contractor must provide electronic or paper training materials to all participants.

The training curriculum covers six primary topics: applied chemistry for environmental health staff including chemical properties, organic and inorganic compounds, lab analysis and data collection; waste determinations using applied chemistry and scientific sampling methodology, including Toxic Characteristics Leachate Procedures (TCLP) and representative sampling; pharmaceutical waste management under RCRA Subpart P hazardous waste standards; lab waste and wastewater evaluation including de minimis exemptions and lab packs; and soil contamination and hazmat releases sampling, including CERCLA and RCRA implications and remediation. The VA will provide current waste stream issues for incorporation into training content.
